Mellen offers advice to security leaders about the questions they should be asking their prospective XDR vendors. "These vendors are moving very quickly, so I do recommend talking to them about what their next steps are and what their road map looks like. Look at the MITRE ATT&CK evaluations to determine detection efficacy because that's a really important component of XDR."
In a video interview with Information Security Media Group, Mellen discusses:
- Key highlights from the new study;
- Reasons for what she calls the "deep divide in the XDR market" and the main differentiating factors between leading vendors and those who fall behind;
- How security leaders can use the findings from the report and what questions they should be asking their prospective XDR vendors.
